Football Policy & Goals

Our goal each season is to provide all student-athletes with a positive environment where they may continue to learn and grow in preparation for a successful high school athletic career. We understand that students are very busy and often pulled in many directions. We also acknowledge that incidents and appointments may arise, causing your child to miss practice or a game. However, we ask that each of the players make a commitment to the sport and notify us if he is to be absent. Please contact us if you have any questions.  We look forward to another fantastic season and thank you for your continued support. See you on the field!

Not much needed

As a football player for Princeton High School, most football related items are provided on our behalf.  The only thing needed is a good pair of cleats.  For skill positions…low ankle cleats are preferred by most players.  High-top cleats are most preferred by offensive & defensive lineman.  The color of the cleat should be predominately white.  If choosing an accent color, it should be royal blue

2020 Spring Workout by Coach Torrey

Below is a list of workouts and nutritional components for our spring.  Please look at the Finished Copy first.  The ideal thing is to go through and follow everything perfectly, but that will probably not be the case for most of you including even myself.  I would encourage you to sit down a read the program threw for about 15 minutes.  Pick through some of the items that might work best in your situation.  There is a chart where you can mark your progress.

Why do these workouts?  You do these workouts to prepare.  In this pandemic we are all living through now, no matter how unforeseen these circumstances were, we were ill prepared to handle our current situation and we have been playing catch up ever since.  We do not want to be ill prepared for our season.  We want to be in the best possible condition given our circumstances.  We do this through discipline, commitment, and the idea that we will get through this.  We are preparing for that moment.

Best,

Coach Gallagher

Explosive Workout

Most of these workouts are done without weights.  A few are done with dumbbells.  Give a few of these exercises a shot…be consistent.  3 to 4 sets…anywhere between 5-15 reps depending on exercise.
